Short version: your audio never leaves your device, we store nothing, and we ask that you only edit audio you have the right to edit.
Privacy
Your audio is never uploaded
Every part of the editing, from decoding and trimming to repairs, effects, mixing and encoding, happens inside your browser on your own machine, using the Web Audio API and WebAssembly. Your file is read from disk into your browser’s memory and never sent anywhere.
You can check this. Open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use the site: once the page and its scripts have loaded, no further requests are made. You can also disconnect from the internet and the tools keep working.
Your microphone
The mixer can record from your microphone, and only asks for it when you press record. The sound goes straight into a track in your browser and is never sent anywhere. The microphone is released the moment you stop.
We store nothing
There is no server, no database and no account. We don’t have a copy of your audio, your file names or what you did with them, because none of that is ever transmitted.
What is stored on your device
Two preferences in your browser’s local storage: which side you last put the history sidebar on, and your chosen language. After an update to the site, one timestamp is kept in session storage for a few seconds, so an open tab can reload itself once instead of breaking. All of it stays in your browser and can be cleared at any time by clearing site data.
Tracks you leave in the joiner or mixer
So that you can leave the joiner or the mixer and come back, their tracks are kept in your browser’s own storage (IndexedDB) on this device for 48 hours. They are never sent anywhere. Each of the two tools shows until when, with a button to clear them. After 48 hours they are deleted the next time you open the site; if the page is still open then, you are asked whether to keep them longer.
Cookies and tracking
The site sets no cookies and includes no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts. Nothing is loaded from another domain at runtime.

Use audio you have the right to use
These tools are for editing audio you own or are allowed to edit: your own recordings, licensed material, public-domain works, or anything you have the rights to. They are not meant for copying, stripping protection from, or redistributing copyrighted recordings, and we do not encourage or condone piracy. Whether you hold the rights to a particular recording is between you and the rights holder.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. Audio processing is destructive: exporting to MP3 re-encodes and loses quality, and repairs change the signal permanently. Always keep your original file. We can’t recover anything for you, because we never had it.
Accuracy
The measurements the tools report are genuine measurements of the processing that was done, not guarantees of a result. Signal processing has limits, and each tool describes its own.
